Sono nato a Lodi, cittadina storica a circa 30 km da Milano, Italia.

Sono stato circondato da cani fin dall’infanzia, la mia famiglia ha sempre avuto cani come Setter Inglesi, Spinoni Italiani, Kurzhaar e Pastori Tedeschi, ma il mio primo cane è stato il Pastore Belga, la mia razza.

Allevo e presento regolarmente i miei Pastori Belgi con l’affisso “Luavjan”. Ci sono molti campioni “Luavjan” in giro per il mondo: Campioni Internazionali, Europei, vincitori di raggruppamenti e di Best in Show, best in show di raduni e Top Dog. Ho allevato anche dei campioni AKC e UKC negli Stati Uniti.

4 anni fa ho deciso di aggiungere un nuovo membro alla famiglia, una splendida cucciola di Azawakh. Mi ha dato la possibilità di scoprire una magnifica e unica razza antica, così speciale e diversa da tutte le altre. Ad oggi è Campionessa Italiana, Campionessa Sociale, Enci Winner, Top Dog Enci 2019 e vincitrice di raggruppamenti.

Ho giudicato Raduni e National Specialties per la mia razza nei seguenti paesi: Australia, Belgio, Repubblica Ceca, Danimarca, Finlandia, Francia, Germania, Paesi Bassi, Irlanda, Italia, Norvegia, Portogallo, Russia, Serbia, Slovacchia, Spagna, Svezia, Svizzera, e Stati Uniti.

Ho anche giudicato alter razze in altri paesi come ad esempio:

Helsinky Winner & Fiinish Winner: Pastori Belgi, Greyhound;

Jyavaskyla: Pastori Belgi, Levrieri Afghani, Saluki, Borzoi, Irish Wolfhound;

Hamina: Collie, Border Collie, Levrieri Afghani, Azawakh, Chart Polsky, Galgo Espanol, Piccolo Levriero italiano;

Nel 2015 ho giudicato i Pastori Belgi alla Mondiale di Milano.

I was born in Lodi, a lovely historical town at around 30 km from Milano, Italy.

I have been involved in dogs since my childhood, my family always owned dogs like English Setters, Spinone Italiano, Kurzhaars and German Shepherds but my very first dog was a Belgian Shepherd, my breed.

I regularly bred and show my Belgians Shepherds under the kennel name “Luavjan’s”.

There are lots of “Luavjan’s” champions in different countries, International Champions, European Winners, Group winners, Best In Specialty Show Winners, all breeds Best In Show winners and top dogs all over Europe. I’ve also bred a UKC Champion and AKC Champion in USA.

4 years ago I’ve decided to add a new member to my family, an outstanding Azawakh puppy girl.

She gave me the chance to discover a wonderful, unique and native breed, so special and different by all the other breeds that I met or owned in my life. She really made the difference. She also is Italian Champion, Club Champion, Enci Winner, Enci Top Dog 2019 and Group Winner.

I judged Club Shows or National Specialties for my breed in the following countries:

Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and U.S.A.

I also judged other breeds in foreign countries, like for example:

Nella mia vita, ho sempre avuto un occhio di riguardo al mondo animale, in particolare verso il cane, mio compagno di vita da sempre. Non era importante di quale razza fosse, caratteristica fondamentale era il suo modo naturale di avvicinarsi, chiedendo amicizia e donando incondizionata fedeltà. Con il passare degli anni, ho avuto la fortuna di conoscere Paola, mia moglie, con cui condivido l’amore per gli animali e che, “geneticamente” abbiamo trasmesso anche a nostra figlia Viviana. Fu così, che dopo aver avuto con noi Beba, un’ adorabile meticcia, Simba, una simpatica Cocker fulva, entrò a far parte della nostra famiglia il nostro primo Barbone. Dal 1982, allevo Barboni Medi e Toy e dal 1990 con prefisso “Osmanthus”. La passione per questa razza ha coinvolto la maggior parte del tempo libero, senza però trascurare, la mia piccola azienda di apparecchiature elettroniche per automazione industriale e civile, attività iniziata nel 1977. In pensione dalla fine del 2014, posso dedicare più tempo alla mia passione verso i cani e il mondo cinofilo.

Abbiamo allevato con l’obiettivo della qualità e non della quantità. Abbiamo prodotto in media una o due cucciolate l’anno ed ora anche meno, ma nonostante ciò, abbiamo selezionato molti Campioni del Mondo negli anni: 1992,93,94,95,96,2011, 2012. Campioni Europei negli anni: 1990,96,98,99,2000,02,03,05,07,08,2012 , numerosi Campioni Italiani, 55 Internazionali, Campioni di quasi tutti i paesi europei oltre a Scandinavia, Russia, Australia, Canada, Israele, USA e Sud America. Le nostre campionesse Osmanthus Noel Chance, Osmanthus Essence e Osmanthus Allure Sensuelle, che purtroppo ci ha lasciati proprio in questi giorni, all’eta di 15 anni, rappresentano la nostra quinta generazione tra Campioni del Mondo e d’Europa. Un traguardo raggiunto da pochi ed orgoglio per l’allevamento italiano.

Durante questi 39 anni, ho avuto la fortuna di conoscere i più storici ed importanti Allevatori ed Esperti Giudici del mondo cinofilo, di cui conservo con stima ed affetto i preziosi insegnamenti. Tutto ciò ha aumentato la mia passione ed il mio bagaglio culturale. Nell’ottobre 2006 sono stato nominato Esperto Giudice della razza Barbone e successivamente Esperto Giudice Internazionale della FCI. Attualmente sono abilitato a tutte le razze FCI dei gruppi 2, 5, 9 e 10 oltre ad alcune razze del Gruppo 1.

Seguo i Levrieri in genere, dal lontano 1976. Proprio in quell’anno, in occasione di una expo nazionale, che si svolse proprio nella mia città, rimasi affascinato da alcune di queste razze, tra cui Afgani, Borzoi, Whippet e Piccoli Levrieri Italiani.

Da allora, il mio interesse verso queste razze, dal grande fascino, dai morbidi profili, dal particolare ed elegante movimento con inebriante distinzione, è aumentato sempre più. Non a caso, il gruppo dei Levrieri è stato il primo che ho completato nella mia carriera di Giudice ENCI ed FCI. Ho avuto l’onore di giudicare i Levrieri, più volte in Raduni o Expo Internazionali in Italia, Scandinavia, Olanda, Belgio, Francia, Russia, Estonia, Germania, Polonia, Rep.Ceca, Slovacchia, Grecia. Essere chiamato a giudicare l’annuale e più importante Raduno del Club del Levriero Afgano (AIALA) e del Circolo del Piccolo Levriero Italiano a Padenghe sul Garda, non solo mi emoziona, ma mi onora e mi riempie di gioia. Ringrazio i due Club per la rinnovata fiducia e sono felice di rivivere con tutti voi appassionati cinofili, la riapertura delle verifiche zootecniche, con le dovute sicurezze, ma con più libertà, la nostra passione nel mondo dei cani.

In my life, I have always had an eye on the animal world, in particular on the dog, my life partner since ever. It did not matter what breed it was, a fundamental characteristic was his natural way of approaching, asking for friendship and giving unconditional loyalty. Over the years, I had the good fortune to meet Paola, my wife, with whom I share the love for animals that we passed “genetically”, to our daughter Viviana. So after Beba, an adorable mixed breed, Simba, a fawn English Cocker, our first Poodle became part of our family. Since 1982, I have been breeding Medium and Toy Poodles and since 1990 under the “Osmanthus” prefix. The passion for this breed involved most of my free time, without neglecting my small company of electronic equipment for industrial and civil automation, a business that started in 1977. Retired since the end of 2014, I can dedicate more time to my doggy passion.

We have bred with the aim of quality and not quantity. We have produced one or two litters per year and now even less, but despite this, we have bred many World Champions over the years: 1992,93,94,95,96,2011, 2012. European Champions over the years: 1990, 96,98,99,2000,02,03,05,07,08,2012, numerous Italian Champions, 55 Internationals, Champions of almost all European countries as well as Scandinavia, Russia, Australia, Canada, Israel, USA and South America . Our champions Osmanthus Noel Chance, Osmanthus Essence and Osmanthus Allure Sensuelle, who unfortunately left us just in these days, at the age of 15, represent our fifth generation of World and European Champions. A goal achieved by a few and a pride for the italian breeding.

During these 39 years, I had the good fortune to meet the most historical, important breeders and judges of the dog world, whose precious teachings I cherish with respect and affection. All this has increased my passion and my cultural background. In October 2006 I became a Poodle and later FCI International Judge. Currently I am qualified for all FCI breeds of groups 2, 5, 9, 10 and some breeds of Group 1.

I have been following Hounds in general, since 1976. Exactly in that year, on a national show, organized in my city, some of those breeds fascinated me, including Afghans, Borzoi, Whippets and Italian Sighthounds.

Since then, my interest in these breeds, with great charm, soft profiles, particular and elegant movement with distinction and dignity, has increased more and more. Not surprisingly, the Sighthounds group was the first I completed in my career as an ENCI and FCI Judge. I had the honor to judge them several times at International, Specialties and Club shows in Italy, Scandinavia, Holland, Belgium, France, Russia, Estonia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Greece. Being called to judge the annual and most important meeting of the Afghan Hound Club (AIALA) and the of the Italian Sighthound Club in Padenghe sul Garda, not only excites me, but honors me and fills me with joy. I thank the two Clubs for their renewed trust and I am happy to share with all of you, our passion in safety and with a bit more freedom.
