Bitte è cresciuta nell’Allevamento SOBERS e ha iniziato in giovane età ad allevare Piccoli Levrieri Italiani e Greyhound con la nonna, la defunta Astrid Jonsson. La Sig.ra Jonsson è stata la fondatrice dell’Allevamento SOBERS in Svezia all’inizio del 1957. Ha iniziato importando due Piccoli Levrieri Italiani dagli allevamenti inglese Nagrom e Winterlea (con pedegree interamente italiani) e a quell tempo acquistò anche la nera ed elegante femmina di Greyhound Black Beauty. La Sig.ra Jonson ebbe grande successo con i suoi Greyhound e Piccoli Levrieri Italiani. Più tardi allevò anche qualche cucciolata di whippet con affisso Sobers oltre a Collie, Shetland e Chihuahua. Per quanto concerne l’allevamento di Greyhound, la capostipite dell’allevamento è stata Ch Black Beauty, madre di Ch Sobers Blue Isis, a sua volta madre di Ch Sobers Kame’. Attraverso le generazioni, lavorando in line breeding sul celebre campione inglese Ch Treetops Hawk, Kame’ ha dato origine alla cucciolata N, nella quale nacque Ch Sobers Nova Of Solstrand che divenne la capostipite presso l’allevamento di successo SOLSTRAND di Dagmar Kenis-Pordham e la rossa Sobers Nugget (di proprietà di Bo Bengston e Dr. Göran Bodegård) che fu madre del celebre Ch GULD. Guld è stata la la capostipite del famoso allevamento GULD della defunta Ann Gustfsson, allevamento che deve il suo nome proprio a questa femmina. Proprio da Guld e dalla sua celebre figlia Ch Gulds Choice Cimone, che è stata la capostipite dell’allevamento Jet’s in Norvegia, in linea diretta furono allevati più di 100 campioni Guld e più di 200 con affisso Jet’s. Tra il 1971 e il 1993 l’allevamento SOBERS si è maggiormente concentrato sui Piccoli Levrieri Italiani, con grande successo in tutta la Scandinavia e in giro per il mondo. Furono allevati molti Campioni, vincitori di Best in Show, Best in Show di Raduni, Campioni Mondiali ed Europei. Negli anni seguenti la selezione del PLI è continuata anche se in scala minore e ad oggi abbiamo una nuova generazione molto promettente che aspetta di spiccare il volo. Grazie alla grande collaborazione con l’allevatrice di successo Sig.ra Dagmar Pordham (Solstrand Irish Wolfhound & Greayhound nel Regno Unito) Bitte, nel 1988, ha avuto la possibilità di importare la splendida top winner Greyhound rossa BIS SBIS Int Multi Ch Trecarne Amber of Solstrand, che è diventata madre di una sola cucciolata di cinque campioni e con questa cucciolata ha avuto la possibilità di ripartire con una “Nuova era di Greyhound Sobers”, una femmina che si ricollega alla nera Ch Sobers Nova Of Solstrand in sesta generazione. Amber ad oggi è nei pedegree di molti dei nostri cani e cerchiamo di seguire un lavoro di line breeding continuo su questa femmina eccezionale. Nel 2001 Bitte (con il suo affisso SOBERS) si è trasferita dalla Svezia a Roma, Italia e ad oggi l’allevamento include Whippet e Bracchi Italiani. Prima con sua nonna e oggi con suo marito Pierluigi Primavera, Bitte e i soggetti SOBERS vantano più di 400 Campioni allevati (più di 600 i soggetti di proprietà) e molti soggetti esportati in tutto il mondo. Abbiamo allevato ed esposto vincitori di Best In Show in tutte le quattro razze inclusa una Riserva BIS all’Europea 2006 (a Helsinki), BIS alla Mondiale 2006 (in Polonia), molti BOB al Crufts (nei whippet, greyhound e bracchi italiani), oltre a un BOB a Westminster (Greyhound), molti premi di allevatore dell’anno, Top Dog tutte le razze con il nostro Bracco in Italia nel 2008 e BIS all’Eukanuba World Challenge 2009! Inoltre, Campioni Mondiali in tutte quattro le razze e Campioni Europei in tre razze. Sin dall’arrivo in Italia, i cani SOBERS sono stati premiati come TOP dog nella razza ogni anno, top dog nella razza Greyhound dal 2001 e per tre volte Top dog nei whippet. Bitte lavora come Tecnico Veterinario da più di 20 anni in Svezia e Italia. E’ diventata giudice internazionale FCI in Svezia nel 1992 ed è abilitata a giudicare tutto il Gruppo 10 e tutti I Podenco, Ibizan Hounds, Canarian Warren Hounds, Pharaoh Hounds e Cirneco dell’Etna nel Gruppo 5. Bitte ha giudicato tutti i Levrieri a livello internazionale, in Scandinavia e in tutta Europo, Regno Unito (CRUFTS), USA, Australia (National Specialty Whippet), Israele, Russia, includendo molti Raduni di razza. Tra i vari highlights senza dubbio la National Specialty dei Greyhound negli Stati Uniti, le femmine di Whippet a Crufts, i Piccoli Levrieri Italiani alla Mondiale di Milano 2015, giusto per menzionarne alcuni. Crescendo e diventando molto attiva nei ring in tutta la Scandinavia dall’inizio degli anni ’70 fino alla fine degli anni ’90, Bitte ha avuto la grande possibilità di seguire lo sviluppo del Levriero Afghano, come quello di tutti I levrieri e ha avuto la possibilità di vedere molti dei cani che sono nei pedegree dei vincitori di oggi, sia nei Levrieri Afghani, sia nei Piccoli Levrieri Italiani. L’amore per tutte le razze levriere è sempre stato forte e ogni volta che ci si ritrova a giudicare, si impara qualcosa di nuovo. Afghani e PLI sono razze così uniche, ognuna a suo modo e con così tanti dettagli non riscontrabili in nessuna altra razza. Bitte e suo marito Pierluigi amano anche far lavorare i propri soggetti sul campo, purtroppo con il lavoro e una vita di famiglia piuttosto attiva, il tempo è limitato, ma grazie ai private proprietari dei loro soggetti, i cani ottengono anche grandi risultati in ambito venatorio e sui campi di Coursing, ottenendo ottimi risultati sia con whippet, sia con i Greyhound a livello internazionale. Non c’è così tanto per altre cose ma nei rari momenti di tempo libero, Bitte ama praticare alcuni dei suoi hobby: arte, disegnare e dipingere e suo marito invece è un grande tifoso della ROMA e ama giocare a tennis più volte a settimana. I cani sono senza dubbio la vera passione della Famiglia Sobers! Bitte non vede l’ora di giudicare le vostre amate razze!

Bitte was “grown up” in the SOBERS kennel and started breeding Italian Sighthounds and Greyhounds with her grandmother, the late Mrs Astrid Jonsson, as a very young girl. Mrs Jonsson was the founder of the SOBERS kennel in Sweden in the beginning of 1957. Starting by importing 2 Italian Sighthounds from the English kennels, Nagrom and Winterlea (but with totally Italian pedigrees) and at the same time purchasing the black elegant Greyhound bitch Black Beauty. Mrs Jonsson had great success with her Greyhounds and Italian Sighthounds. Even a few Whippet litters were born in the early days with Sobers prefix as well as Collies, Shelties, and Chihuahuas. The Greyhound bitch line was founded on Ch Black-Beauty, who produced Ch Sobers Blue Isis, dam herself of Ch Sobers Kame’. Through generations of line-breeding to the English legendary Ch Treetops Hawk, Kame’ produced the Sobers N-litter, where Ch Sobers Nova of Solstrand became the foundation bitch of Mrs Dagmar Kenis – Pordham’s incredibly successful SOLSTRAND kennel, and the red Sobers Nugget (leased by Bo Bengtson & Dr Göran Bodegård) became the dam of the red Ch GULD. Guld became the foundation bitch of the late Mrs Ann Gustfsson’s famous kennel GULD, named after the foundation bitch. Down from Guld and her well known daughter Ch Gulds Choice Cimone, who was the foundation bitch for Kennel Jet’s in Norway, in straight bitch line, more than 100 Guld – Champions and more than 200 Jet’s – Champions have been produced. Between 1971 and 1993 the SOBERS breeding was mainly concentrated on Italian Sighthounds… with a dominant success in most of Scandinavia and also around the world. Many Champions, BIS, Specialty BIS winners and World Champions as well as European Champions were produced. The Italian Sighthound line has been continued in a small scale over the years and we today have a new exciting generation “waiting in the wings”. Thanks to great cooperation with the so talented breeder Mrs Dagmar Pordham (Solstrand Irish Wolfhounds & Greyhounds in UK) Bitte, in 1988, got the possibility to import the red lovely and later top winning Greyhound bitch BIS SBIS Int Multi Ch Trecarne Amber of Solstrand, who became the mother of only 1 litter of five red Champions and with this litter restarted a “new Greyhound era” at SOBERS, with a bitch line going back to the black Ch Sobers Nova of Solstrand in the 6th generation. Amber is today behind most of our dogs and we always try to follow the bitch line back to this wonderful Greyhound. In 2001 Bitte (& the prefix SOBERS) moved from Sweden to Rome, Italy and today the breeding also includes Whippets and the Italian Pointing dogs, Bracchi Italiani. First together with her grandmother, and today together with her husband Pierluigi Primavera, Bitte & the SOBERS Hounds are responsible for more than 400 Homebred Champions (over 600 Champion titles) and over the years many exports all around the world. We have bred and shown BIS winners in all the four Breeds including wins as Res-BIS at the European Winner 2006 (in Helsinki), BIS at the World Dog Show 2006 (in Poland), Multiple CRUFTS BOB winners (in Whippets, Bracchi and Greyhounds), as well as WESTMINSTER BOB winner (Greyhounds), many TOP BREEDER awards, TOP DOG with our Bracco Italiano (all Breeds) in Italy 2008 and BIS at EUKANUBA World Challenge 2009! Moreover, World Winners in all four breeds and European Winners in 3 breeds. Since arriving in Italy, the SOBERS dogs have been among the TOP dogs (all breed list) every year and the kennel had the “Top Greyhounds in Italy” since 2001 and 3 times TOP Whippet awards as well. Bitte has been working as a Veterinarian Technician for more than 20 years in Sweden and in Italy. She became Int FCI judge in Sweden in 1992 and is approved to judge all Group 10 and all Podengos, Ibizan Hounds, Canarian Warren Hounds, Pharao Hounds and Cirneco dell’Etna in Group 5. Bitte has been judging all Sighthounds at International level, all around Scandinavia and the rest of Europe, Great Britain (CRUFTS), USA, Australia (Whippet National Specialty), Israel as well as in Russia, including several Breed Club Specialties. Among the highlights would of course be the Greyhound National in the USA, Whippets (Bitches) at CRUFTS, Italian Greyhounds at the WDS 2015 in Milano, if mentioning just a few. By growing up and being very active in the showrings in all Scandinavia during the early 70’s up to the late 90’s, Bitte had the great opportunity to follow the Afghan breed as well as all the Sighthounds development there and being able to see many of the dogs that are behind several of today’s successful dogs in both Afghans and Italian Sighthounds. The love for all the Sighthound breeds has always been strong and every time judging the different breeds you learn something new. The Afghans and the Italian Sighthounds are such unique breeds in their own ways and with so many special breed points not seen in any other breeds. Bitte and her husband Pierluigi also enjoy to work with the dogs in the field, but with work and also a very active family life, time is limited, so thanks to our great puppy buyers, our dogs anyway have been doing great in field work as well as in lure coursing which resulted in several LC Champions in both Whippets and Greyhounds worldwide. Not really much time for other things in life but when having some free moments, Bitte loves to practice her other passion: art, drawing and painting, meanwhile her husband Pierluigi is a true ROMA Football Club fan and also plays Tennis several times per week! The dog hobby is for sure the true passion of the SOBERS family! Bitte is very much looking forward to be given, once again, the honor to judge these wonderful breeds!
